A Note from Ben.
Welcome to Profile Plumbing, your local specialist for all plumbing, gas, drainage and roofing projects.
It has been our pleasure to service the wider Auckland area for over seven years across both Commercial and Residential projects. Our clients range from Local Residents and Property Managers through to Builders and Project Managers. Whether it is maintenance and repairs or new installations you are after, we are here to help.
At Profile Plumbing, we provide a seamless service from job enquiry and booking through to completion. Our friendly team of qualified and experienced Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers are equipped with the skills and knowledge for any job.
My team and I are passionate about what we do. We pride ourselves on the high level of service and the quality of work we provide to all of our customers. We also work to ensure we respond to and complete your job in a timely manner, saving you money.

Meet the Team.
Ben Johnson.
Director + Certified Plumber, Gasfitter and DrainlayerBen embarked upon a Plumbing Apprenticeship straight out of school in 2004. Since then, he has continued to up-skill; obtaining the highest qualification in Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainage and extending his skills across Roofing.
Ben setup Profile Plumbing in 2014 and continues to enjoy the challenge of being an owner operator, the reward of seeing a project completed with a satisfied client and having the opportunity to support the growth and development of new Apprentices entering the game.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and two dogs, fishing and surfing.
Mike Saunders.
Certified Plumber + Team Leader + Health and Safety ManagerMike has been in the industry for over 40 years and joined the Profile Plumbing team in 2020 in a Team Leader Role.
Mike’s main focus is to ensure our business operations and client projects run as efficiently and effectively as possible. His wealth of experience in the trade is a huge benefit in this regard.
When he’s not working, Mike is spending time fishing or working on his lifestyle block.
Alex MacDonald.
Registered Plumber + GasfitterAlex has an extensive amount of experience Plumbing and Gasfitting and we are stoked to have him on our team in a senior role. He loves the variety and challenge that comes with each project and has been an asset to the team with his ability to project manage larger jobs with finesse.
Alex is passionate about travel and spends his free time exploring the country with his family.
Matt Pearson.
Registered Plumber + GasfitterMatt has been Plumbing and Gasfitting since 2016 after trying his hand at various other careers including a Dive Instructor in the beautiful Great Barrier Reef.
It is fair to say that Matt has found Plumbing and Gasfitting to be his true calling and, as a problem-solver, he enjoys this element that comes along with the job.
In his own time, he dabbles in ALOT of fishing and spends most weekends exploring new spots around New Zealand.
Sam Fleming.
Registered Plumber + GasfitterSam has been Plumbing and Gasfitting since 2015. He enjoys the hands-on element of the job and the opportunity to work face-to-face with clients.
Sam has a photographic memory so can remember and recall details from jobs which is incredibly helpful in his role.
Outside of work he enjoys hanging out with his mates, fishing, hunting and going to church.
Rhys Gorrie.
Registered PlumberWith several years of plumbing experience under his belt, Rhys started and completed his Plumbing Apprenticeship with Profile Plumbing.
Rhys is a friendly and motivated member of the team who is always prepared to go the extra mile to help customers. He enjoys the fact that he is always learning and up-skilling on the job. He likes being part of the Profile Plumbing family and the banter that is had along the way.
Outside of work he enjoys working on his car, going to the gym and spending time with friends.
Daniel Chapman.
Registered Plumber + GasfitterDan has been Plumbing and Gasfitting since 2017 whilst also juggling a professional soft ball career. With travel restrictions in place thanks to the Global Covid-19 Pandemic, he’s now based in New Zealand as a full time Plumber and Gasfitter on the Profile Plumbing team.
He enjoys the hands-on element of Plumbing and Gasfitting as well as working with a tight-knit team.
In his spare time he likes to roll his arm on the softball pitch and hang out with friends.
Max Topps.
Apprentice Plumber + GasfitterMax is the newest addition to the Profile Plumbing team although he was so quick to fit in, it feels as if he has been with us forever. He enjoys the hands-on element of the job and is nearing completion of his Plumbing and Gasfitting Apprenticeship.
In his free time, Max enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym and spending time with his loved ones.
Connor Murphy-Skeens.
Apprentice Plumber + GasfitterConnor joined the Profile Plumbing team as an Apprentice Plumber and Gasfitter after completing a work experience program with us through his college.
He enjoys the hands-on element of Plumbing and Gasfitting as well as working with different team members to broaden his skill level.
Braydn Myles.
Apprentice Plumber + GasfitterBraydn began his career in Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainlaying in 2019. He enjoys the day to day interactions with clients and the satisfaction of a happy client following job completion.
Braydns passions outside of work include rugby, boxing and mixed martial arts.
Ryan Mankelow.
Apprentice Plumber + Gasfitter + DrainlayerAfter 23 years as a Vehicle Paint Technician, Ryan made the decision to shift his career path and embark upon an Apprenticeship in Plumbing, Gasfitting and Drainage. We are stoked to have Ryan on the team and to be a part of his next career step. Ryan is a "people person" as well as a dedicated and enthusiastic team member.
Aside from his new passion of Plumbing, Ryan enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on classic cars and listening to country music.
Alex Perry.
Apprentice Plumber + Gasfitter + DrainlayerAlex joined the team in 2023 as an Apprentice Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer. He comes from a family of tradesmen, so the trades run in his blood. He enjoys working across various projects and alongside different team members to broaden his skill level.
Greg Lee.
Certified Drainlayer + Digger OperatorGreg is our resident Drainlayer and Digger Operator. He works with us on all Drainage projects where excavation is required and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in this area following over 30 years in the game.
Debbie Barnes.
Office ManagerDebbie jumped ship from the vehicle parts industry to join Profile Plumbing as our Office Manager. She is the friendly voice at the end of the phone or email when you contact our office. Due to the urgent nature of most plumbing work, Debbie is quick to assess your request and how we can best help.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves being on the water fishing.
